Gender of spouse and partner applicants before and after minimum income requirement introduced

The request was successful.

Dear UK Border Agency,

I request information on the gender split of spouse and partner entry clearance applicants before and after the introduction of the minimum income requirement for such applications on 9 July 2012. In particular:

1. What was the gender split of successful spouse and partner applicants for entry clearance in the 6 months prior to 9 July 2012? If possible please also provide the number of unsuccessful applicants in that period broken down by gender.

2. What was the gender split of successful spouse and partner applicants for entry clearance in the 6 months following 9 July 2012? If possible please also provide the number of unsuccessful applicants in that period broken down by gender.

Thank you for your assistance.

Yours faithfully,

Colin Yeo
