Gender balance and register of interests of board members

The request was partially successful.

The Ferret Media Ltd

Dear Glasgow College Regional Board,

Please treat this as a freedom of information request.

In November 2015 The First Minister made a commitment to work towards gender balance on all public boards in Scotland.

Please could you supply me with the following information?

1. How many women are now on the board of your organisation and how many people of other genders are there?

2. Is the current Chairperson (or person with an equivalent role) a woman or someone of another gender?

3. What is the current median FTE pay for men and women in the organisation?

In addition, I would be grateful if you could provide me with the following information about board members.

4. Please supply the names of everyone currently on the board along with their registers of interest and the date that their register was last updated.
5. Please supply details of any payments made to any of the board members in the last 12 months, and a summary of the purpose of each payment.

Please do not send the requested information in pdf format files. I would prefer to receive the requested information by email in a machine readable format such as MS Excel.

I look forward to hearing from you in due course.

Yours faithfully,

Alastair Tibbitt

How to Fix It
The address may be misspelled or may not exist. Try one or more of the
following:
* Send the message again following these steps: In Outlook, open this
non-delivery report (NDR) and choose Send Again from the Report
ribbon. In Outlook on the web, select this NDR, then select the link
"To send this message again, click here." Then delete and retype the
entire recipient address. If prompted with an Auto-Complete List
suggestion don't select it. After typing the complete address, click
Send.
* Contact the recipient (by phone, for example) to check that the
address exists and is correct.
* The recipient may have set up email forwarding to an incorrect
address. Ask them to check that any forwarding they've set up is
working correctly.
* Clear the recipient Auto-Complete List in Outlook or Outlook on the
web by following the steps in this article: [1]Fix email delivery
issues for error code 5.1.10 in Office 365, and then send the message
again. Retype the entire recipient address before selecting Send.
If the problem continues, forward this message to your email admin. If
you're an email admin, refer to the More Info for Email Admins section
below.

More Info for Email Admins
Status code: 550 5.1.10

This error occurs because the sender sent a message to an email address
hosted by Office 365 but the address is incorrect or doesn't exist at the
destination domain. The error is reported by the recipient domain's email
server, but most often it must be fixed by the person who sent the
message. If the steps in the How to Fix It section above don't fix the
problem, and you're the email admin for the recipient, try one or more of
the following:

The email address exists and is correct - Confirm that the recipient
address exists, is correct, and is accepting messages.

Synchronize your directories - If you have a hybrid environment and are
using directory synchronization make sure the recipient's email address is
synced correctly in both Office 365 and in your on-premises directory.

Errant forwarding rule - Check for forwarding rules that aren't behaving
as expected. Forwarding can be set up by an admin via mail flow rules or
mailbox forwarding address settings, or by the recipient via the Inbox
Rules feature.

Recipient has a valid license - Make sure the recipient has an Office 365
license assigned to them. The recipient's email admin can use the Office
365 admin center to assign a license (Users > Active Users > select the
recipient > Assigned License > Edit).

Mail flow settings and MX records are not correct - Misconfigured mail
flow or MX record settings can cause this error. Check your Office 365
mail flow settings to make sure your domain and any mail flow connectors
are set up correctly. Also, work with your domain registrar to make sure
the MX records for your domain are configured correctly.

For more information and additional tips to fix this issue, see [3]Fix
email delivery issues for error code 5.1.10 in Office 365.

Wendy Odedina, Glasgow College Regional Board

Dear Mr Tibbit
GCRB Ref: FOISA 025
Thank you for your request dated 6 April 2021 under the Freedom of
Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (FOISA).
Please find below GCRB's responses to your questions in red italic text.
If you are dissatisfied with GCRB's response, you may request a review of
the information provided.  If you remain dissatisfied with GCRB's response
further to a review of its original response, you may contact the Scottish
Information Commissioner on the following link to appeal:

[1]http://www.itspublicknowledge.info/YourR...

Response:
1. How many women are now on the board of your organisation and how many
people of other genders are there?
The Board of GCRB comprises 9 women and 9 men.
GCRB's staff comprises 3 women and 3 men.

2. Is the current Chairperson (or person with an equivalent role) a woman
or someone of another gender?

The GCRB Chair is a woman.

3. What is the current median FTE pay for men and women in the
organisation?

This information is exempt from disclosure under FOI(S)A Section 38
(Personal Information).  GCRB employs 3 women and 3 men, therefore, the
median salary in each group would be an individual's salary.

In addition, I would be grateful if you could provide me with the
following information about board members.

4. Please supply the names of everyone currently on the board along with
their registers of interest and the date that their register was last
updated.
Members of GCRB and their registers of interest, which include date of
last review are available via the following link:
[2]https://www.gcrb.ac.uk/boardmembers

www.gcrb.ac.uk

5. Please supply details of any payments made to any of the board members
in the last 12 months, and a summary of the purpose of each payment.

Board members are not remunerated, with the exception of the Chair whose
fee is determined by Scottish Ministers and is £330 per day.
GCRB is required by law to pay such allowances to Board Members as
Scottish Ministers may determine. There have been no expenses claims made
by GCRB Board Members relating to the last 12 months.
