Dear Sefton Council,
You have asked me to clarify some of my questions. Sorry for the confusion, please see my corrections below.

2. How many legal claims in all areas of service have been raised against
the council in the last 10 years? How many settled before court? What type
of claims do you mean; for example do you mean insurance claims?
*specifically all claims related to data protection and a misuse of that data resulting in a claim. This should cover all service areas and cover court action and settlements for compensation.

3. *please void this question as it is answerable by question 2. Thank you

4. How many private sector law firms do you employ to undertake
contractual works? What was the total spend for this in the last financial
year? What do you mean by contractual work?
*any legal work that was performed by a private company (legal practice) on behalf of the council in relation to data protection, misuse of data, and compensation claims arising from a data challenge.
