Gas Safety and Carbon Monoxide Awareness

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Health and Safety Executive should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Health and Safety Executive,

I am writing to inquire after the resources expended on Gas Safety and Carbon Monoxide Awareness campaign in Great Britain and overall policy into Gas Safety/Carbon Monoxide awareness in the general public.

Does the HSE provide this service or is it in the charge of their sub contractor Gas Safe Register to raise public awareness? Is it a KPI in the contract with Gas Safe Register?

What was/is the budget for these tasks for years 2012-2013, 2013-2014, 2015-2016?

How many bill boards, poster campaigns took place in the above periods?

How many TV ads took place?

How many Radio pieces took place?

How many school campaigns, social group awareness talks took place?

What is the click through rate to Gas Safety awareness on HSE website?

What is the click through rate to carbon Monoxide articles on the HSE website?

Has the HSE done any campaigns on mobile home safety?

Does the HSE measure the awareness of the safety message and awareness in the general public?

Does the HSE have a programme for the later half of 2016 into 2017, if so can I receive a copy?

In the event of a Gas incident does the HSE investigate or does the HSE delegate the investigation to their sub contractor Gas Safe register?

Yours faithfully,

Alastair King
