Following a preliminary assessment, we have concluded that we will not be
able to answer your request without further clarification. You may be
aware that Bright Tribe Trust is a multi-academy trust which includes 10
schools across various areas of the country.
Please could you clarify whether it was your intention to direct your
request to any particular school or schools. Alternatively, did you intend
to ask for aggregated data across the whole trust?
Also, you referred to “annual consumption and spends” in question 3.
Please could you clarify what you mean by this? For example, are you
referring to annual data for last academic year (01.09.16 – 31.08.17)?
Once you have clarified the position, we will be able to begin to process
your request. If we do not receive clarification within three months your
request will be considered to have lapsed.

I was looking to the total amount of units used for gas and electricity in 1 calendar year or if its easier what the yearly spends are on each individual school.

We write further to your request for information of 27^th November 2017,
regarding utilities, and your clarification of 29^th November.
You requested the following:
1) Gas and electricity suppliers.
2) Contract end dates for gas and electricity.
3) Annual consumption.
4) Tendering information and broker used if any.
5) Names and telephone numbers for person / people who make the
energy contract decisions.
In response to our request for clarification, you confirmed that your
question was for the whole trust.
Regarding consumption, you confirmed that you were asking for the total
amount of units used for gas and electricity in one calendar year or, if
easier, what the yearly spends are on each individual school. We have
taken the former approach.
We confirm that we hold the information you have requested and can provide
this as follows:
Gas and electricity suppliers and contract end dates
Half hourly electricity meters are supplied by Haven Power under contracts
that will run until 31/08/20. Non half hourly meters are supply by SSE
under contracts that will run until 31/08/19. Gas is supplied by Gazprom
under contracts that will run until 31/08/20.
Annual Consumption
We have collated data for the year from Sep 16 - Aug 17. Given that you
have asked for details of the amount of units used in one calendar year,
we have omitted three schools from the data (Grindon Hall Christian
School, Haltwhistle Lower School and Haltwhistle Upper School) because
each of those schools has been with us for less than one year. The gas and
electricity consumption figures for the period Sep 16 - Aug 17, omitting
the three schools referred to, are as follows:

Tendering
Procurement was undertaken using the United Learning Trust framework,
contract award notice reference 2015/S 218-397671. Access to the framework
was facilitated by the broker Inspired Energy.

process and this may be subject to change from time to time. We would
therefore recommend that any interest should be registered via

be passed on to the appropriate people.
If you are dissatisfied with the handling of your request, you have the
right to ask for an internal review. Internal review requests should be
submitted within two months of the date of receipt of the response.
