G100 Admissions Information

Dear Homerton College, Cambridge,

I would like to request the following information for the G100 Mathematics/Maths with Physics course:

1. The number of applicants who were invited to interview at Homerton during the 2022 application cycle. (Applicants applying in 2021 for entry in 2022 or deferred entry in 2023).

2. For the application cycles of 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021 (following the above definition of application cycle), please can I find out:
a. The total number of conditional offer holders (applicants who had received an offer for G100 at Homerton and had STEP as a condition of their offer) who took STEP.
b. The number of conditional offer holders (as defined above) who met the STEP condition of their offer.
c. The number of conditional offer holders (as defined above) who missed their STEP condition but were still admitted to Homerton, or another college, for G100.
d. The number, if any, of students who were admitted to Homerton for G100 through the August Reconsideration Pool.

Further to your recent Freedom of Information request please see below the data from Homerton College.

1) We are not able to provide data for applications made in 2021 for 2022 entry as this is the current admissions cycle, which is not yet complete.

2a) All data you have requested is publicly accessible here: https://www.undergraduate.study.cam.ac.u...

2b) The number of applicants who had received an offer for G100 at Homerton, had STEP as a condition of their offer, and who met their STEP offer condition in 2017 was 0-5 and in 2018 was 0- 5. In 2019, 2020 and 2021 the number was below 0-5 in each year.

2c) The number of applicants who had received an offer for G100 at Homerton, had STEP as a condition of their offer and who missed their STEP condition but were still admitted to Homerton in 2017, 2018, 2020 and 2021 was 0-5 in each year. In 2019 the number was 0-5. We do not have access to the STEP data of applicants who were accepted by other Colleges at the University of Cambridge.

2d) No students have been admitted to Homerton for G100 through the August Reconsideration Pool"

Please note it is Homerton College policy when responding to Freedom of information requests relating to small numbers to use 0-5 to signify data numbers as few as only one, or possibly no numbers at all. This method is used to ensure that the data released does not lead to any person (and not just the recipient of the data) being able to identify an individual from the data or information the College released under the request.
