Funds Expunged on Homosexual Weekend

We're waiting for Rupert Tankard to read recent responses and update the status.

Dear Leeds City Council,

On the weeked of the 6th August, there was a mass homosexual event in Leeds.

How big a hole did this burn in the council's pocket (i.e. how much did you spend on this?)?

Please provide as the total cost with and without VAT and an itemised breakdown (to the best level of accuracy you are able).

Yours faithfully,

Rupert Tankard

Dear Rupert Tankard,

Freedom of Information Request (Ref: 19382)

I refer to the above and your request dated 14, August 2017. I have

following request Funds spend on the 6th August 2017.

Leeds.

How big a hole did this burn in the council's pocket (i.e. how much did

Please see the attached spreadsheet.

Leeds City Council supports Leeds Pride as part of its work to reflect the
diversity of the city and to assist in meeting its legal obligations to
advance equality of opportunity between different groups and foster good
relations between different groups. Pride is also a timely reminder of the
discrimination that LGBT+ people still face in society and the work that
still needs to be done to overcome this.

Leeds Pride is the largest City Centre based event attracting tens of
thousands of visitors to the city to watch the parade as well as visit the
Pride party on Lower Briggate. As well as promoting the city as an
inclusive place to do business, to visit and to take part in leisure
activities the Pride Weekend provides a significant boost to the city
centre economy.

You also have a right under Section 50 of the Freedom of Information Act
to ask the Information Commissioner to decide whether we have met with our
obligations under the act.  The Commissioner has however made it clear
that he expects all applicants to exhaust internal appeals procedures
