2. A list of all organisations the Energy, Environment and Sustainability (EES) department has received funding from, including the date, organisation, amount and what it was for, in the last 5 years as an Excel spreadsheet.
3. A list of all organisations within the fossil fuel industry that the university collaborates with on Knowledge Transfer Partnerships, Commercialisation & Proof of Concept Funding, Spin-Out Companies, Consultancy and any other agreements including the name of the organisation, date and what it was for as an Excel spreadsheet.
3. Numbers of graduates gaining employment broken down by employment sector, for the last 5 years as an Excel spreadsheet.

FOI Request 101214-1 : Funding from fossil fuel industry
 
Please find in Blue and attached the University's response to your recent
request for information under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act
2002.
 
Information Requested:
 
1. A list of all organisations within the fossil fuel industry the
university received money from in the last 5 years,  including the date,
organisation, amount and what it was for, as an Excel spreadsheet.
2. A list of all organisations the Energy, Environment and Sustainability
(EES) department  has received funding from, including the date,
organisation, amount and what it was for, in the last 5 years as an Excel
spreadsheet.
3. A list of all organisations within the fossil fuel industry that the

Due to expectations of Commercial confidentiality on the part of the
funding bodies we are not is a position to release the details of the
organisations requested however, we can provide an overview of our
interaction with the fossil fuel industry based on the HEBCI return if
this is required. Under s33(1) of the Act ‘Commercial interests’
information is exempt if, ‘it constitutes a trade secret or its disclosure
would substantially prejudice the commercial interests of any person,
including the University and in this case the organisations funding the
research.
 
Please note If what we’ve provided isn’t sufficient we can provide a
breakdown for Energy, Environment and Sustainability and extract the
specific elements in part 3.

Destinations
of Leavers from Higher Education (DLHE) survey which publishes extensive
information online

which would help you obtain information directly comparable between
institutions.
 
I trust that this provides the information you require, however, if you
are dissatisfied with the University’s handling of your request for
information under the Act, you have 40 days from the date of our response
to request a formal review of our decision.  However, you are encouraged
to contact me in the first instance, to determine if I can resolve your
concerns informally as this may lead to a quicker resolution of your
complaint than a formal appeal.
