Funding from central government to Colchester Borough Council

The request was successful.

Dear Colchester Borough Council,

Please can this be verified, I asked my MP how much funding has been given to Colchester to combat the Coronavirus epidemic and he responded with these figures. I am know very sceptical of any anything a Conservative MP is telling me. So could the council verify his understanding of the support Colchester has received.

Emergency Funding: £2.03m
Rates Relief: £32.42m
Council Tax Hardship Fund: £1.15m
Small Business Fund: £42.12m
Discretionary Fund: £1.73m
Total: £79.46m

Yours faithfully,
