Funding for Wirral ASB team

This is councils decision to find this funding for the ASB team for 2011/12.

2,Please advise the total cost for this team for the years 2010/11, 2011/12 ,2012/13.
3,Please advise the number of staff in each year.
4,Please advise the grade banding of staff and job titles.

5,Please advise if this team lost staff when the funding for 12/13 ended.
6,If the funding did not end at which council meeting it was agreed to continue this funding for 2012/13?
7,If this was not agreed at council please advise how this funding was found.(grant, income etc)

Thank you for your recent Freedom of Information request. Please find the
answers to your questions below.

 

Q1.       Please supply any documentation provided to Council that
proposed and lobbied this decision including emails, manager submissions,
supporting facts and figures etc?

 

A.  Wirral Anti-Social Behaviour Team (WASBT) does not have any
correspondence that proposed and/or lobbied the decision to provide the
funding of £290,000 to WASBT for a further twelve months to enable a
review to take place.

 

Q2.       Please advise the total cost for this team for the years
2010/11, 2011/12, 2012/13?

 

A.         2010/11 = £627,656

2011/12 = £583,555

2012/13 = £506,007

 

Q3.      Please advise the number of staff in each year?

 

A.         2010/11 = 36

                2011/12 = 26

                2012/13 = 19

 

Please note that in each year above, some staff were funded from external
sources and some staff were seconded into the team at no cost.

A.         The funding did not end for 2012/13. Staff left WASBT in
2012/13 for reasons including: moved to new post, external funding ending,
Early Voluntary Retirement and a restructure within Targeted Youth Support
Service.

 

Q6.       If the funding did not end at which council meeting it was
agreed to continue this funding for 2012/13?

 

A.         Decisions for the above were concluded at Cabinet Tuesday, 21st
February 2012.  Please see page 7 of the attached report under the heading
‘Investing in the people’s priorities’.

   

Q7.       If this was not agreed at council please advise how this funding
was found. (grant, income etc)?

 

            A.         Please see answer above (question 6)

staff.

18^th February 2013.  Please see Report Recommendations on page 107 and

further details.
