Dear Team - Customer Service,
The Caithness Chamber is not qualified to carry out these kinds of studies. Is it not the case that the Chamber receives funds from HIE in any case.

Dear Ms. Marshall,
Thank you for your request for information dated 7 August 2023 addressed to Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE), this has been treated as a request for information under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (FOISA).
Your request was for the following:
Highlands and Islands Enterprise received £38,000 from the UK Government in 2022. Please advise the breakdown of how these funds were spent, and the business case.
In accordance with section 14(2) of FOISA, HIE will not be responding to the part of your request that asks for the breakdown of how these funds were spent. HIE considers this a repeated request as it is the same or substantially similar to the request you made on 9 July 2023. I can confirm the situation remains the same as it was when HIE responded to the original request.
It is noted that HIE's previous response, dated 4 August 2023, did not explicitly address the request for the business case. I apologise if this has caused any confusion although to clarify, in accordance with section 17 of FOISA, a business case is not held.
If you are unhappy with this response to your request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review by contacting us. Your request for review should explain why you are dissatisfied and should be made within 40 working days of receipt of this response.
