Funding for golf over last five years.
Dear Scottish Sports Council,
I am looking for the funding figures allocated to the sport of golf in Scotland. I am looking for the figures from 2013 to 2018 inclusive.
Could you please provide details of funding in this period allocated to golf through schools and as well as extra curricular activities.

Good afternoon Martin,
Thank you for your recent request under the Freedom of Information
(Scotland) Act 2002, asking for:
1. Funding figures allocated to the sport of golf in Scotland
(figures from 2013 to 2018 inclusive)
2. Funding details in the period 2013 – 2018 inclusive, allocated to
golf through schools and extra curricular activities.
Our response is as follows:

As you will note, and with regards to point 2, and as you will note, we
have not provided you with the funding details allocated to golf through
schools. This is because we have not funded any school programmes for golf
sessions. Therefore, in line with s17 (Information Not Held) of the
Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002, we cannot provide you with the
specific information you have requested.
Instead, we have provided you with the details of various golf clubs that
support junior development for the years 2013 – 2018 inclusive that we
have funded, the information for which you will find in the spreadsheet
attached.
To help us, we would be grateful if you could acknowledge receipt of this
response for our records.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you are entitled to ask us to
review our decision. You must make this request within 40 working days of
the date of this response, explaining why you think we should carry out a
review, stating the information request to which this review relates, and
