The request was partially successful.

Dear Kent County Council,

Please send me details of the overall cuts to Education this financial year in The County.

Specifically, please give detailed figures of any cuts in the budgets to the Towers, The North, Highworth Grammar and Norton Knatchbull in Ashford.

Please provide specifics of any planned refurbishments put on hold at the schools listed

Please detail how in exam choices at any of the schools have been reduced due to budgetary restraints.

How much has the IBA at Norton been cut by?

Yours faithfully,

Dear Ms Cobb

Thank you for your request for information made under the Freedom of
Information Act 2000. Please accept my sincere apologies for the delay in
sending this information to you. I appreciate we have not complied with
statutory timescales on this occasion.

The Towers and Highworth are both Academies and we have not funded them
for the period 2011-12 so you would need to go to them direct.

In answer to your question regarding cuts we have attached a summary
comparison of funding for 2010-11 and 2011-12 for the North and Norton
Knatchbull. The North have had an increase per pupil and Knatchbull have
had a decrease.

The exams choice question will need to be sent to the schools direct as we
do not hold the information.

Regarding the Education Budget we suggest you look at the County Council
Budget Book and MTP for 2011-13.

Any refurbishments the schools may have been planning themselves are
questions only the schools can answer.

If you are unhappy with this response, and believe KCC has not complied
with legislation, please ask for a review by following our complaints
process; details can be found at this link
[1]http://www.kent.gov.uk/your_council/have...
on our website. Please quote reference FOI/11/0692 .

If you still remain dissatisfied following an internal review, you can
appeal to the Information Commissioner, who oversees compliance with the
Freedom of Information Act 2000. Details of what you need to do, should
you wish to pursue this course of action, are available from the
Information Commissioner's website
