Dear Department for Work and Pensions,
What actual Jobcentreplus employment incentives or schemes are available that will help incentivise employers to take on the long term unemployed that are over 24 years old. Specifically with regards to funding training opportunities in England which will help them back in to employment.
What steps or action is being taken to tackle the issue of employers discriminating against the long term unemployed.
I have been signing on for over 8 years & the Jobcentreplus staff offer no support at all. I have been on work programs such as Workdirections, Avanta, Seetec & I have seen the National Careers Service to date without success. Please reply with details of schemes specifically designed for the long term unemployed including names of organisations & how to contact them.
