Freedom of Information Request - RFI20182293 
Thank you for your request to the BBC of 7 December seeking the following 
information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (‘the Act’):   
‘The Corporation has suggested in its report that it has active discussions ongoing with 
HMRC and that it may consider in some instances making a contribution towards the 
tax bills of those deemed to have outstanding amounts. 
Has the Corporation concluded its discussions with HMRC? 
Has the Corporation paid any amount to HMRC on behalf of contractors or 
Has the Corporation made any provision for any such amounts to be paid and if so, how 
Please be advised that the Freedom of Information Act gives a general right of 
access to all types of recorded information held by public authorities.  This is not a 
request for recorded information, and we are not required to create new 
information to respond to a request, or give a judgement or opinion that is not 
already recorded. 
However,  on this occasion we can confirm that discussions with HMRC are still 
underway and have not concluded.
