Freehold or leasehold title registrations, covering England and Wales, where the registered legal owner is a company or charity incorporated inside the UK

Tony Hirst made this Freedom of Information request to Land Registry

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

The request was partially successful.

Dear Land Registry,

The Land Registry recently made available a dataset detailing freehold or leasehold title registrations, covering England and Wales, where the registered legal owner is a company incorporated outside of the UK: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/land-registr...

Please may I have a copy of complementary datasets, as datasets, with similar data columns (eg as specified in https://www.gov.uk/government/publicatio... ) detailing:

1) freehold or leasehold title registrations, covering England and Wales, where the registered legal owner is a company incorporated inside the UK;

2) freehold or leasehold title registrations, covering England and Wales, where the registered legal owner is a charity registered inside the UK.

In the event of the Land Registry not being able to provide the information, in whole or in part, pertaining to either 1) or 2), this should not jeopardise the request made in the other part.

Yours faithfully,

Tony Hirst

Dear Tony Hirst

Thank you for your email of 26 March 2016 where you requested
information about datasets for UK companies and for Charities. We have now
completed searching for the information you requested.

A copy of the information which can be disclosed is enclosed. This is a
list of UK companies.

The remainder of the information that you requested is exempt under
sections 40(2) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and is therefore
withheld.

Charities can be shown as private individuals being the names of trustees.
Section 40(2) provides that personal data about third parties is exempt

satisfied. Under the FOIA disclosure of this information would breach the
fair processing principle contained in the Data Protection Act 1998, where
it would be unfair to that person/is confidential.
