Thank you for your email. Please read the following information carefully
to ensure that your query has been directed to the right place.
Complaints about London boroughs:
London Councils has no powers to handle complaints about individual
boroughs, intervene in their work or provide case advice, and will not
respond to queries of this nature. If you are writing to complain about a
borough, you should redirect your complaint to the relevant local
authority, and follow their complaints procedure.
If you’ve already gone through a borough’s complaints process and wish to
escalate your complaint further, the local authority should provide you
with information on how to do so, which is usually to contact the Local
Government and Social Care Ombudsman.
Complaints about Taxicard:
If your complaint is about the Taxicard service (e.g. bookings, driver
conduct, journey experience), this will be handled by our contractor
Comcab, who have their own complaints procedure and will investigate and
respond to you directly. Please redirect your enquiry to Comcab either by
email at [email address] or by calling Comcab London
customer services on 020 7908 0271.
If your complaint is about either your Taxicard application or trip
allocations, we will forward your query to our Taxicard team at London
Councils, who will investigate your complaint.
Freedom of Information (FOIs) requests:
If you have submitted an FOI, we will respond in accordance to the
deadlines of FOI Act 2000. Please note that in most cases we will not hold
information about individual London local authorities or about them
collectively and you will need to contact each individual local authority
to obtain the information. Please refer to the London Local Government
Directory for details on how to contact all London local authorities.
