Freedom of Information Request – Teacher Placement and Support Initiatives
Dear Scottish Government,
I am writing to request information under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002. Specifically, I would like to request details on any initiatives, programs, or schemes introduced by the Scottish Government or local authorities to support teachers in securing permanent or supply positions.
Please provide the following information:
1. Initiatives to Support Permanent Employment:
Details of any initiatives, schemes, or programs introduced since 2020 to help teachers secure permanent positions in Scotland. This includes any specific recruitment drives, support for new graduates, or efforts to match teachers with available roles.
2. Support for Supply Teachers:
Information on any programs aimed at increasing the availability of supply work or improving the working conditions of supply teachers, including any specific funding or resources allocated for these purposes.
3. Support for Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs):
Information on any specific programs or schemes introduced to assist newly qualified teachers (NQTs) in finding permanent or supply work in Scotland.
