Freedom of Information request. Total running budget for 2017/18.

Mr Martin Matthews made this Freedom of Information request to Devon and Cornwall Police and Crime Commissioner

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

We're waiting for Mr Martin Matthews to read recent responses and update the status.

Mr Martin Matthews

Dear Devon and Cornwall Police and Crime Commissioner,

I am totally against any increase in the Police Precept. You promised last year to improve our policing and quite frankly nothing has changed. I live in Threemilestone, near Truro. This area suffers from serious abuse by motorists who consistently flout the law by parking illegally in and around the village. There is a nil attendance by the Police. This situation has been ongoing now for some 3 years with no evidence of either interest or improvement. Basically we never see a police presence.

I will not support any request for increased funding on the grounds that I am paying for a non existent service. If necessary, I will challenge any proposal for an increas and may withhold my payment if necessary. I would be quite willing to support an increase, but only when I see the Police fulfilling their duty to enforce The Road Traffic Act.

Meanwhile, I formally request under The Freedom of Information Act, to see the total financial accounts for the running of the Police and Crime Commissioners period 2017/18.

Yours faithfully,

Mr M. Matthews.

TANNER Eleanor 90526, Devon and Cornwall Police and Crime Commissioner

Dear Mr Matthews

Thank you for taking the time to contact our office in relation to Police and Crime Commissioner’s council tax poll.

While your comments have been noted we can’t tell if you have also completed the poll and it’s really important that you do that as it is the only way for us to measure public opinion about the proposed increase.
If you have completed the poll then thanks but, if you didn’t, please do so by clicking here. https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/survey-ta...

With regards to your request for financial information, this is published on our website here: http://www.devonandcornwall-pcc.gov.uk/a...

Kind regards

Eleanor
