Dear Dundee City Council,

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to request information under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 regarding the funding allocated to your council for teacher employment and related initiatives. Specifically, I request the following for the years 2020/2021, 2021/2022, 2022/2023, and 2023/2024:

2. Additional Funding for Teacher Numbers: Information on any additional funds or grants provided by the Scottish Government specifically aimed at increasing teacher numbers or addressing teacher shortages during these periods.
3. Funding from the £145.5 Million Allocation: Information on the proportion of the £145.5 million allocated by the Scottish Government to local authorities for teacher recruitment, retention, and related initiatives. Specifically, the amount your council received, and how it has been used within your council to address teacher shortages or improve teacher employment conditions.
4. Correspondence with the Scottish Government: Copies of any correspondence or reports exchanged between your council and the Scottish Government concerning the allocation or use of funding for teacher employment, including any discussions on the conditions attached to such funding.
5. Utilisation of Allocated Funds: Documentation outlining how these funds have been utilised within your council, particularly in relation to teacher recruitment, retention, and salary enhancements.

If no such documents or information exist, please confirm this explicitly in your response.
