Dear Sir or Madam,
Thanks for this information. However you have sent me parents responses to this consultation NOT the internal minutes of meetings relating to the development of the HE guidelines.
I wish to see documents and minutes that show how the guidelines were developed, particularly as so little notice seems to have been taken of parents views in the info you sent me.
I must also express concern that the documents you sent contained parents names, addresses and email addresses none of which had been removed or covered up before sending them to me.
Yours sincerely,
Stuart G. Marshall
Dear Mr Marshall
I have contacted the team who provided the information to me to see if any
further information is held and will respond in due course.
To the best of my knowledge the only names and email addresses contained in
the documents sent out were those for people operating in a business rather
than personal capacity and would therefore be considered business rather
than personal data. If there are personal rather than business details I
can only apologise as it is our policy to review all data prior to
disclosure and, from the context, I was not aware of any information
requiring redaction.
Yours sincerely,
Steve Cullen

Dear Sir or Madam,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of Birmingham City Council's handling of my FOI request 'Freedom of Information request - Elective Home Education Guidance Notes'.
A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address:
http://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/fr...
I am stunned to think that no one took any minutes or wrote anything down during the development of these important guidelines. I know Chris Seal took notes during my meeting with her on these guidelines - these have not been provided. What else is being withheld?
Please look int the actions of this department.
Yours sincerely,
Stuart G. Marshall
Dear Mr Marshall
Further to your email to the Corporate Information Governance Team dated
28th April 2009 requesting an internal review on the information provided
to your for your Freedom of Information request requesting:
Please supply me with all documents and correspondence, both internal and
external, with respect to the newly published Birmingham Elective Home
Education guidance notes. Preferably electronic versions, but paper copies
will suffice if necessary.
We referred your request back to our Children, Young People & Families
directorate to ascertain whether any notes are available. We have received
confirmation from the directorate that Chris Seal concluded her employment
with Birmingham City Council in September 2008. It may have been that she
would have taken working notes in her conversations, and would have
retained these for her reference during her re-write. She did not discuss
this matter with anyone or pass on any notes. Staff in that section have
double checked that no other records are held in the file she left with us.
If however, you are not satisfied with the City Council’s response, you may
apply to the Information Commission for an independent review at the
following address:-
