Freedom of Information Request - Contribution of other local authorities to KCC school costs

The request was successful.

Dear Kent County Council,

I would be grateful to know what sum was paid to KCC from local authorities outside Kent in financial year 2009/10 to cover the cost of educating their pupils in Kent schools. And how many children from outside Kent currently attend Kent schools.

I understand that KCC is given funding by central government to fund its schools but there are children that travel into Kent from outside the county. I want to know what contribution their local authorities are making to fund KCC for their schooling.

Yours faithfully,

Kevin Brant

Kent County Council
