Scottish Teachers for Permanence

Dear Scottish Government,

I am writing to request information under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 regarding the costs associated with a probationer teacher going through the Teacher Induction Scheme (TIS).

Specifically, I am requesting a detailed breakdown of costs incurred by the Scottish Government per probationer teacher in the TIS scheme, including but not limited to:

1. Salary and associated employment costs
2. Training and support costs, including mentorship and CPD (Continuing Professional Development)
3. Administrative and operational costs related to the TIS scheme
4. Any other direct or indirect costs covered by the Scottish Government as part of this scheme

I would appreciate the information covering the most recent financial year available.

If any part of this request requires clarification or could be refined to assist with the search, please let me know.

Yours faithfully,
James Orr
