Dear Sophie Lucas
Request FOI/11006
Further to your request received on 01/11/2024, I confirm that the Council
has now considered your request under the Freedom of Information Act
2000. For ease of reference, I will now address each of your questions in
turn.
I am making this request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000
regarding spending on disrepair claims and tenant services from 1st
November 2023 to 1st November 2024.
Please provide the following information:
1. Total expenditure by the council on legal disrepair claims during this
period.
Data can’t be released from the current Financial Year as it has not been
closed out and audited yet and, therefore, the exemption ‘Section 22 -
information intended for future publication’ applies. In respect of
Section 22, this information is exempt if the information is held by the
public authority with a view to its publication, by the authority or any
other person, at some future date and that it is reasonable in all the
circumstances that the information should be withheld from disclosure
until the audit process is complete.
2. The total compensation paid directly to tenants living in disrepair.
This question requires clarification. It does not specially refer to the
stated period and, therefore, it needs clarifying with the requester,
otherwise we are likely to not be obliged to comply with it under Section
12 FOIA.
3. A monthly breakdown of tenant boiler breakdown reports and repairs for:
- November 2023
- December 2023
- January 2024
- February 2024
We do not measure boiler breakdown separately. Total number of all
responsive gas repairs orders raised during the months are as follows:
Month Gas repairs orders
November 2023 1337
December 2023 997
January 2024 1337
February 2024 1306
4. The average wait time for addressing a boiler breakdown from the time
of the initial report to full resolution during each of these months.
We do not measure boiler breakdown separately. The average number of days
taken to complete responsive gas repairs jobs during the months are as
follows:
Months Average of No Working Days
November 2023 3.70
December 2023 4.98
January 2024 3.51
February 2024 3.64
If you categorise boiler issues or disrepair claims differently within
your data, please include definitions or clarifications to help interpret
these figures.
