Freedom of Information Request: All Current Licensed Landlords and Property Agents
Dear Croydon Borough Council,
I am writing to request information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
I would like to request the following:
1. A list of all landlords and property agents registered on the council's licensing database, including any selective, additional, or mandatory HMO licensing schemes.
2. The associated addresses or details of the properties covered by these licenses.
3. The type of license held for each property (e.g., HMO, selective licensing).
4. The Companies House registration number for each company listed as a landlord or property agent.
If it is not possible to provide all the requested information, please provide as much as you are able and explain any exemptions or redactions applied.
I would prefer to receive the information electronically in a spreadsheet format (e.g., CSV or Excel) or as PDF.

Further to your request received on 25/11/2024, I confirm that the Council
has now considered your request under the Freedom of Information Act
2000. Specifically, you have requested the following information:
I would like to request the following:
1. A list of all landlords and property agents registered on the councils
licensing database, including any selective, additional, or mandatory HMO
licensing schemes.
2. The associated addresses or details of the properties covered by these
licenses.
3. The type of license held for each property (e.g., HMO, selective
licensing).
4. The Companies House registration number for each company listed as a
landlord or property agent.
The information requested in relation to questions 1,2 and 3 for the
licensed / registered houses in multiple occupation is available in
summary version using a link on the Council’s webpages.
This information is therefore exempt from Croydon Council under Section 21
of the Freedom of Information Act 2000, ‘Information reasonably accessible
to the applicant by other means’. Section 21 is an absolute exemption and
therefore does not require the public interests balancing test to be
applied.
For a copy of the full list, such as a paper copy to be posted or an
electronic copy emailed, then there is a charge. The charge payable is
£54. This is taken before the service is provided.
