FOI Office,

Dear Kirsty Duffin ,

Thank you for your email which was received by the University on 13 May
2020 timed 11:58 hours.

The staff of the University of Glasgow, including the Data Protection &
Freedom of Information Office, are now working off-campus.  A number of
staff have also temporarily left their university work and research in
order to help the NHS with the public health crisis.  University
operations have been disrupted and this will affect our ability to
retrieve data and respond to requests.

As the University of Glasgow is a Scottish Public Authority, your request
is subject to the terms of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002
(“FOISA”).  The Coronavirus (Scotland) Act 2020 provides for an extension
to the normal timescale for response to FOI requests to 60 working days
from receipt of a request.  The University  will endeavour, where
possible, to respond to you as soon as possible, and in any event by 5
August 2020.  However, if your request is time sensitive, and therefore
unlikely to be responded to within your required timescale, please advise
if you wish to suspend or withdraw your request.

Yours sincerely
