Bramley, Tony, Shoreline Housing Partnership Limited

Dear Mr Cant,

Thank you for your enquiry dated 4th April 2012.

I should perhaps open by clarifying that the FOI Act does not in any
event apply to Shoreline Housing Partnership Ltd. since we are not
classified as a 'public body' for the purposes of the Act, and that we
are a registered charity and company limited guarantee.

Nevertheless if I can I will try and assist on the two matters you

- On the first matter (BBC news story) this relates to three managers
who were at the time employed by a wholly-owned private subsidiary of
SHP rather than SHP itself. As the matter concerns internal disciplinary
issues involving individuals employed by that company we have no further
comment to make.

- On the second matter, the conduct of the housing stock transfer ballot
was not a matter in which SHP had any involvement whatsoever and was
wholly a matter for NELC - the conduct of such ballots is enshrined in

I have nevertheless looked back at our records from around that time and
as far as I can ascertain I can see nothing being reported then to our
shadow Board indicating that any concerns relating to the conduct of the
ballot were reported to us. This is not entirely surprising of course,
since even if concerns were being raised at the time these would have
been a matter for NELC rather than SHP.

Yours sincerely

Tony Bramley
