Fostering Work Stream (September 2024 – December 2024)

We're waiting for Alastair Scott-McKinley to read a recent response and update the status.

Dear Department of Health (Northern Ireland),
I am writing to request all the following information which I am entitled to under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
This Freedom of Information request concerns but is not limited to the Department of Health’s Children’s Social Care Services Strategic Reform Programme Board: Fostering workstream.
1. Please provide a copy of the latest version of the fostering workstream work plan, associated timescales, and any timescale updates or reviews from September 2024 to December 2024.
2. Please provide a copy of minutes and notes of all meetings of the Fostering workstream from September 2024 to December 2024.
3. Please provide a copy of all papers circulated to, tabled, or discussed at meetings of the fostering workstream from September 2024 to December 2024.
4. Please provide a copy of all reports, working papers, presentations, and fostering strategy documents being considered by the fostering workstream from September 2024 to December 2024.
5. Please provide a list of organisational fostering policies, protocols, schemes, and standards documents currently under review by the fostering workstream from September 2024 to December 2024.
6. Please provide a copy of any paper, report, document, presentation, analysis, correspondence, or business case, including evidence provided to the Northern Ireland Assembly, related to the development of foster care allowances.
7. Please provide a copy of any paper, report, document, presentation, analysis, correspondence, or business case, including evidence provided to the Northern Ireland Assembly, related to the development of a Foster Care Fee Paid Framework.
8. Please provide a copy of the workstream risk register and issue notifications from inception to date.
9. Please provide a copy of the reports produced by the workstream from inception to date.
10. Please provide a copy of all minutes/notes of all meetings for any sub-group task and finish groups for the period September 2024 to December 2024.

I would like the above information to be provided to me as an electronic copy.
If the request is too broad or unclear, I would be grateful if you could contact me as I understand under the Act you are required to advise and assist requesters. If any of the information is already in the public domain, please send it to me directly with page references or URLs when necessary.
If it is not possible to provide the information requested due to the information exceeding the cost of compliance limits identified in Section 12, please provide advice and assistance under the section 16 obligations of the Act, as to how I can refine the request.
I understand that you are required to respond to my request within 20 working days after receiving this request. I would be grateful if you could confirm in writing you have received this request.

Mr Scott-McKinley,

Further to the email below acknowledging your request, I am writing to
advise that unfortunately we are currently not in a position to provide
you with our response within the agreed timescales.

It has unfortunately taken longer than expected to process your request
and collate the information required to respond.

 

Colleagues are continuing to progress your request and we would hope to
have our response with you by the 6^th February 2025, however I will
contact you again if that position further changes.
