Further to your recent request under the Freedom of Information Act,
please see our response below. 

1- amount spent in the financial year 2016-2017 on non in house foster
placements (to include full cost to agency / voluntary organisations)
 Ans: £2,924,300

2- amount spent in the financial year 2016-2017 on in-house foster
placements.  Ans: £3,390,200 – this includes allowances, discretionary
payments and carer travel expenses

3- total budget for foster placements 2016-2017  Ans:  £6,852,240 - this
covers external foster placements and in-house allowances, discretionary
payments and carer travel expenses

4- total budget for foster placements 2017-2018.  Ans:  £6,303,620 – this
covers external foster placements and in-house allowances, discretionary
payments and carer travel expenses

If you are dissatisfied with the response to your request, under the
Authority’s FOI Policy, you may appeal in writing setting out the reasons
why you think the decision is erroneous, to the Authority’s Monitoring
