I am writing in response to your request dated 30 January 2018.  This has
been dealt with under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

 

You asked for the following information:

 

a) Your total number of registered foster carers;

 

b) The number of your registered foster carers who are non-UK EU
nationals;

 

c) The number of your currently fostered children who are non-UK EU
nationals;

 

d) The number of your UK national foster carers who foster outside of the
UK, but within the EU.

 

The Council’s response to your specific questions is set out below:

 

a)      Your total number of registered foster carers;

 

The total number of foster carers registered with Kirklees as of 1^st
February 2018 :

There are 266  registered fostering households. There are 464 registered
carers (this higher figure represents households where there are two
carers approved/ registered)

 

b)      The number of your registered foster carers who are non-UK EU
nationals;

 

We do not hold this information as we do not capture in our data gathering
an individual’s nationality.

 

c)       The number of your currently fostered children who are non-UK EU
nationals;

 

We do not hold this information as we do not capture in our data gathering
an individual’s nationality.

 

d)      The number of your UK national foster carers who foster outside of
the UK, but within the EU.

 

We do not hold this information. We only hold information with respect to
Kirklees Council approved foster carers.
