On  30^th January 2018 Hertfordshire County Council received the following
request for information from you:

 

“I would be very grateful if you could provide me with the following

a) Your total number of registered foster carers;

nationals;

d) The number of your UK national foster carers who foster outside of the
UK, but within the EU.”

 

Your request for information has been considered under the Freedom of
Information Act 2000. I can confirm that Hertfordshire County Council does
hold some of the information you have requested and can respond as
follows:

 

a) Your total number of registered foster carers

As at 19/2/18 there are 570 registered foster carers (households)

Definition : 570 are main carers and 389 are partners (linked carers)
which totals 959

 

b) The number of your registered foster carers who are non-UK EU nationals

Where known, there are 18 main carers and 11 linked carers who are non-UK
EU nationals

(Where known means where the nationality is recorded. Where it is not, it
is difficult to interpret from some of the ethnicity categories if they
are non-UK).

 

c) The number of your currently fostered children who are non-UK EU
nationals

Where known, there are 97 currently fostered children who are non-UK EU
nationals

(Where known means where the nationality is recorded. Where it is not, it
is difficult to interpret from some of the ethnicity categories if they
are non-UK).

 

d) The number of your UK national foster carers who foster outside of the
UK, but within the EU.
