Forestry Building
Dear East Devon District Council,
Application 22/0886/AGR. Could you please provide me with information on how much wood will be processed on site each year or how long it will go on for. And can you provide me information on where the wood will be hauled in from as it clearly states wood will be hauled in and how much wood will be hauled in
Yours faithfully,
JUSTIN LACEY

Dear East Devon District Council,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of East Devon District Council's handling of my FOI request 'Forestry Building'.
East devon have stated that the information on how much wood will be processed is in the forestry commission management plan and the delegated report I can see no information about this in these reports as they stated the building was reasonably necessary for this purpose so can they please confirm how much wood needs to be processed for the building to be reasonably necessary

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/f...

Dear Mr Lacey,
Thank you for your email. You have asked for an internal review of your
FOI response ref 599235854. I have reviewed your FOI enquiry, what was
sent to you and your email in response.
You requested to know how much wood needs to be processed for the building
to be reasonably necessary and where the trees are hauled in from.
Our response was that the information was available on our website under
that application number in the Delegated report and the Forestry
Commission Management Plan dated 25 May. As this information is published
already, we used the exemption Section 21 of the FOI Act 2000 -
Information reasonably accessible to the applicant by other means.
On further review of the Delegated report and Forestry Commission
Management Plan the amount of wood or where it is hauled from is not
mentioned.
This data has not been provided to us as it was not deemed necessary in
assessing the need of the building or deemed appropriate as the Small
Woodland Management Plan’s objectives span a period of 10 years.
With regards to where the trees are hauled in from, there is no
information that suggests timber, or trees would be hauled onto the site.
Rather, any haulage would concern trees felled and processed onsite,
within the land edged in blue on the submitted Location Plan and then
potentially transported offsite.
Therefore, we are unable to provide the information you have requested as
we do not hold it.
I hope I have been able to clarify our position on this matter. If you
feel dissatisfied with my response to your request, you have the option to
refer matters to the Information Commissioner’s office at
[1]www.ico.org.uk
Regards,
Anita Williams
