Kristian Healey-Ryder

Dear Ministry of Defence,

I have noted the Ministry of Defence publishing releases that specify support given to Scotland and Wales to assist with the pandemic. However, there seems to be no equivalent information relating to England.

Therefore, I would like to request the following: for the whole of the pandemic, up to the date of this request, how many man hours of personnel have been deployed to each country of the UK?

Yours faithfully,

Kristian Healey-Ryder

Dear Ministry of Defence,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Ministry of Defence's handling of my FOI request 'Forces deployed domestically to assist with pandemic'.

63 working days have now elapsed since I first made this request.

I note that you have not confirmed or denied whether the authority holds this information, and have not applied an exemption that would remove this obligation.
As you may be aware, Section 1(1) of the FOI Act (https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/200...) states that "Any person making a request for information to a public authority is entitled to be informed in writing by the public authority whether it holds information of the description specified in the request".
I would be grateful if you could clarify whether or not this information is held, or specify which exemption of the duty to confirm or deny you are applying.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/f...

Yours faithfully,

Kristian Healey-Ryder

Dear Kristian Healey-Ryder,

Thank you for your enquiry of 23 March 2022.  We are sorry that a
substantive response has not been provided to your information request
within the statutory timescale required of the FOI Act (our reference:
FOI2021/15623).  MOD has beached section 10 of the Act, for which we
apologise.   We have established that the delay in processing of your
request was due to an allocation dispute.  This issue is now resolved and
we have advised the relevant business area to provide you with a response
as quickly as possible and no later than 22 April 2022, that is 20 working
days from the date of your complaint.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and for the delay you are
experiencing.  We would not normally undertake a review of the handling of
a case so close to the issue of a substantive response.  If, however, on
receipt of the response, you remain dissatisfied with the handling of this
request, or if you experience any further delay, please do not hesitate to
contact us again.

You have an absolute right under the Act at any point in the process to
appeal to the Information Commissioner under the provisions of section 50
of the Act.  Further details of the role and powers of the Information
Commissioner can be found on the Commissioner's website at
