Football focused P.E lessons

Under the FOI Act I would like to request the following information regarding the number of Physical education (P.E) sessions where football was the sport played.
1. Please provide the number of football based P.E lessons for boys during this academic term and the previous.
2. Please provide the number of football based P.E lessons for girls during this academic term and the previous.
3. Please provide the number of P.E sessions per week for each year group over the current and previous academic term.

Thank you for your FOI enquiry received on 9^th November. We have checked
our records and reply as follows:
1. Please provide the number of football based P.E lessons for boys during
this academic term and the previous.
This academic year, as part of our KS3 PE Curriculum, Boys will complete 4
weeks worth of Football in Year 7 (3 hours per week), 4 weeks worth of
Football in Year 8 (3 hours per week) and 7 weeks worth of Football in
Year 9 (2 hours per week). This was also the case last academic year. At
KS4, all students have the opportunity to select a pathway. One of the
pathways looks at friendly competition. Football is offered here and
typically students spend a half term (6/7 weeks - 1hr per week) competing
in each/this Sport. This was also the case last academic year. KS4 GCSE PE
students also have the opportunity to take part in Football and follow a
curriculum based on Sports within the GCSE spec. They can typically spend
6/7 weeks per academic year playing Football (1hr per week).
2. Please provide the number of football based P.E lessons for girls
during this academic term and the previous.

week). This was also the case last academic year.
