Dear Conwy County Borough Council,

1. How many foodbanks are there in Conwy County? Please list them and include foodshare services.
2. How much did CCBC receive from Welsh Government off the back of the Welsh Government announcement on October 4th 2022 to supply local authorities with an additional £1 million to distribute amongst local community food organizations to overcome barriers to accessing sufficient supplies?
3. How many foodbanks and foodshare services in Conwy County received money from CCBC from the budget above? Please list them all as well as the amount they each received.
4. Please provide the data you have on the amount of food each food bank distributed, over the past 5 years where possible.
4. Who judged the applications, which council teams were involved?
5. Were any cabinet members involved in the decisions regarding the process of application or distribution of the funds, if so, which members and which decisions?

2. How much did CCBC receive from Welsh Government off the back of the
Welsh Government announcement on October 4th 2022 to supply local
authorities with an additional £1 million to distribute amongst local
community food organizations to overcome barriers to accessing sufficient
supplies? 

      £39,854. 

 

3. How many foodbanks and foodshare services in Conwy County received
money from CCBC from the budget above? Please list them all as well as the
amount they each received. 

      All Food Banks on the link above requested and received funding
apart from Blaenau Ffestiniog Food Bank.  The total amount awarded was
£85k which included other 

      Welsh Government funding.

 

4. Please provide the data you have on the amount of food each food bank
distributed, over the past 5 years where possible. 

      You will need to contact the foodbanks direct for this data.

 

5. Who judged the applications, which council teams were involved? 

       Benefits Manager and Funding Development Manager. 

 

6. Were any cabinet members involved in the decisions regarding the
process of application or distribution of the funds, if so, which members
and which decisions? 

      No
