you as quickly as possible. For waste, recycling and street care enquiries
please call 0300 300 0013.

Our opening hours are Monday to Thursday 08.30am to 5.00pm and Fridays
08.30am to 4.30pm.

We aim to answer most enquiries within 5 working days, however sometimes
in busy periods this may take more time. Complex enquiries may need to be
referred to a specialist team and take longer to answer, possibly up to 10
working days, if this is the case we will contact you to explain what is
happening with your enquiry.

If you wish to renew or sign up to the garden waste collection service the
quickest way to do this is online at [1]www.winchester.gov.uk then select
the ‘Garden waste sign up' tab on the home page. To report a missed bin
please go to the waste, recycling & street cleaning page.

In the event of an emergency involving council property or services which
happens outside of our normal opening hours please call our out of hours
team on 01962 865 407 where a list of contacts detailing who may be able
to help is held.

collections fully from April 2026 in line with the governments statutory
requirements.
