Follow up request - Amazon Warehouse 1 Moore Park Way, St Helens Rates Payable

Wendy Hill made this Freedom of Information request to St Helens Metropolitan Borough Council

This request has been closed to new correspondence. Contact us if you think it should be reopened.

The request was refused by St Helens Metropolitan Borough Council.

Dear St Helens Metropolitan Borough Council,
Thank you for the information received on my original request. Can I please now ask and/or can you confirm the following:

The RV/rates payable day one is 4 September 2019?

In view of the fact that 'payment is awaited' can you please advise when the 2019/20 payment £454013.11 was due and how this was to be paid ie monthly, quarterly, annually (in a lump sum).

As the amount for the last financial year is described as 'payment awaited' how and when have Amazon been contacted to ask for this outstanding payment to be made - please include communication method and date.

Similarly with this year's payment - even if the payments are made on a monthly basis then at least one month's payment (and possibly two) should have now been made for 2020/20 £803840.00, and 'payment awaited' suggests that this/these payments have not been received either.

Are any steps currently in place to recover this money? If so, what are they?

If payments (any or all) have now been received - I would still like the information as to when payment was made and how much prompting that took.

Thank you

Payment is awaited

Yours faithfully,

Wendy Hill
