Request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOI)
The Freedom of Information Act 2000 (c.36) is an Act of Parliament of the Parliament of the United Kingdom that creates a public "right of access" to information held by public authorities.
Under the Act, most public authorities may take up to a maximum of 20 working days to respond, counting the first working day after the request is received as the first day.

We ask the authority to provide the prices paid by the authority to independent and voluntary sector homecare providers for the provision of regulated social care services delivered to people aged 65 years or above in Community Settings excluding Extra Care Facilities, between Monday 03rd June 2019 and Sunday 09th June 2019, inclusive (the “Reference Period”). Figures requested in items ‘a’ to ‘f’, below, should be expressed in pounds and pence per hour, as follows:

a. The average (“arithmetic mean”) price per hour paid to all providers for all hours of homecare services in Community Settings excluding Extra Care Facilities purchased during the Reference Period;

b. The authority’s total spend on homecare services in Community Settings excluding Extra Care Facilities purchased from all providers during the Reference Period;

c. The authority’s total quantity (in hours) of homecare services in Community Settings excluding Extra Care Facilities purchased from all providers during the Reference Period;

d. The authority’s lowest price per hour paid to a provider of homecare services in Community Settings excluding Extra Care Facilities during the Reference Period;
e. The authority’s highest price per hour paid to a provider of homecare services in Community Settings excluding Extra Care Facilities during the Reference Period;

f. The authority’s “Usual Rate” (if this exists) per hour paid to providers of homecare services in Community Settings excluding Extra Care Facilities during the Reference Period.
