Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Comhairle nan Eilean Siar should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Comhairle nan Eilean Siar,

I am writing to make a request for all the following information under the The Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002:

A list of any vacant crofts anywhere in the Western Isles and the contact details of their respective owners/managers or the person to whom I would apply.

I am trying to find information about any crofts that are vacant and available with a part time land management role.

There are a number of online resources for searching crofts by name but given the thousands of crofts across Scotland I have been unable to search by vacancy.

I would like the above information to be provided to me as [Insert preferred format of response i.e email, letter].

If this request is too wide or unclear, I would be grateful if you could contact me as I understand that under the Act, you are required to advise and assist requesters. If any of this information is already in the public domain, please can you direct me to it, with page references and URLs if necessary.

I understand that you are required to respond to my request within the 20 working days after you receive this letter. I would be grateful if you could confirm in writing that you have received this request.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours faithfully

Dear CNES FOI Team,

Thank you for your previous response. For clarification, if you do not have a list of all vacant crofts then you must have information specifically of council owned crofts or small holdings that are currently vacant.

Kindly process my request at least with regards to council owned land. If this cannot be provided can you advise me who I should contact to submit a request for an internal review of my FOI request. Many thanks in advance.

Yours sincerely,
