Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (“The Act”)

We refer to your request dated 10/04/2025 12:51.  We confirm that the
Council holds the following information, which we believe satisfies your
request.

1/ Copies of any Equality Impact Assessments (EQIAs) conducted by or for
schools under your Council’s jurisdiction regarding the Supporting
Transgender Young People in Schools: Guidance for Scottish Schools, since
its publication in 2021, focusing on impacts on pupils with the following
protected characteristics: Religion or Belief (including gender-critical
beliefs), Disability and Age.

Aberdeenshire Council signpost to this guidance, they have not published
their own guidance on this matter. Due to this, no Integrated Impact
Assessment has been undertaken.

2/ If no such EQIAs exist, please confirm whether the Council has advised
schools to conduct them since 2021.

Aberdeenshire Schools have not been advised to undertake an Integrated
Impact Assessment related to this matter due to the reasons given above.
