Dear Mr Pearson

See set out below responses to your queries -

Has confidential waste being procured via tender or framework or another means?

Waste (including Confidential) has been tendered as part of the Cumbria Consortium Facilities Management (CCFM) tender which that was awarded in February 2022. The Cumbria Consortium members are; Sellafield Limited, Nuclear Decommissioning Authority, NDA Properties Limited, International Nuclear Services

• If a framework, could you confirm the name of the framework please?
CCS Framework - Facilities Management Lot 3 RM3830

• Actual contract values of each framework/contract (& any sub lots)
Contract was let by further competition on the above framework. OJEU notice allowed for the framework to be no more than £12B. The actual contract value is commercial in confidence however please see following press release relating to the contract award. Mitie wins £500m contract for Europe's largest nuclear site | SecurityWorldMarket.com

• Start date & duration of contract
Start date is 1st April 2022 – initial term is 5 years, with options to extend a further 5 years

• Is there an extension clause in the framework(s)/contract(s) and, if so, the duration of the extension?
See above

• Has a decision been made yet on whether the framework(s)/contract(s) are being either extended or renewed?
The decision on whether to extend the contract will be made within the initial term and this will be subject to the internal Cumbria Consortium review process.

• Who is the procurement officer responsible for this contract and could you provide their email address and phone number please?
Please refer to the NDA Procurement pipeline which does provide details of the ‘Main contact Person’ for each procurement opportunity. Procurement at NDA - Nuclear Decommissioning Authority - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

Who is the senior officer (outside of procurement) responsible for this contract and could you provide their email address and phone number please?
See above.

• Who is the current supplier?
Mitie FM Limited.

• If your current supplier is a Facilities Management/Waste/Cleaning Company, which sub-contractor services your organisation?
The strategy for this procurement was to contract with one supplier to service the Cumbria Consortium in its entirety, with support of sub-contractors. Confidential waste is one of the sub-contracted services under this contract - see above.
