1) From the date March 16, 2020 to provide a breakdown of the number of confirmed Covid-19 deaths in Scotland/local authority/region by
1a) Individual care homes
1b) Care home provider

2) From the date March 16, 2020, to provide a breakdown of the number of suspected Covid-19 deaths in Scotland/local authority/region by
2a) Individual care homes
2b) Care home provider

3) Provide any analysis undertaken by the organisation of care home deaths due to Covid-19 in Scotland.
3a) This should include but not be limited to impact assessments, legal advice, statistical analysis, financial impact assessments or other analysis.

Good morning,

I refer your recent request made under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002. Please find below a response on behalf of East Ayrshire Integration Joint Board (IJB).

You requested information regarding COVID-19 deaths/suspected deaths in care homes.

I am unable to answer your request in respect of the IJB. Your enquiry concerns information about the operational delivery of services within NHS Ayrshire and Arran and East Ayrshire Council. As the IJB does not hold recorded information falling within the scope of the questions in your request and so I am providing notice under Section 17 of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 that East Ayrshire Integration Joint Board does not hold the information requested and so is unable to comply with this aspect of your request.

EA IJB is a strategic commissioning body for health and social care services in East Ayrshire. While the staff and resources are delegated to the IJB, the operational delivery of those services, and the management of resources, lies with East Ayrshire Council or NHS Ayrshire and Arran as appropriate.
