FOI request: bTB controls during animal slaughter

We're waiting for Dan Parfitt to read recent responses and update the status.

Dear Health and Safety Executive,

Under FOI act 2000 I request copies of:

1, The HSE letter sent to bTB reactor abattoirs relating to expected controls against M.bovis in animal slaughter, in 2015 or 2016
2, The HSE letter sent to non-reactor abattoirs relating to expected controls against M.bovis in animal slaughter, 2015 or 2016
3, The HSE letter to the FSA relating to expected controls against M.bovis in animal slaughter
4, Minutes. agendas, notes, invitee lists, attendees and any other correspondence relating to the HSE meeting with the FSA and British Meat Processors Assc in Jan 2016 on the issue of bTB and animal slaughter / meat processing.

All of the above were referred to in the follow HSE public notice: http://www.hse.gov.uk/foi/internalops/og...

In 2015, HSE wrote separate letters to all reactor (Trim: 2016/0310702) and non-reactor abattoirs (Trim: 2016/0310732) in England and Wales, and the FSA (Trim: 2016/0310737). Via such, all were informed of the expected controls (against M. bovis) related to animal slaughter. This was reinforced at a meeting between HSE and the British Meat Processors Association and FSA in January 2016.

Yours faithfully,

Dan Parfitt
