2. Does the Council have a specific policy which requires its Social Work Service to use the Care Inspectorate Guidance for children and young people's services on the inclusion of transgender including non-binary young people?'

I refer to your request dated 2 July 2024, in which you asked for the
information detailed in your email below.
I can advise you that the Council is able to respond to your request in
full, and all the information you have sought is as follows:
1. Does the Council have a specific policy which requires its Education
Service to use the Scottish Government guidance Supporting transgender
pupils in schools? There is no specific policy. The attached circular
regarding the Scottish Government guidance Supporting transgender pupils
in schools was shared on 6 September 2021.
2. Does the Council have a specific policy which requires its Social Work
Service to use the Care Inspectorate Guidance for children and young
people's services on the inclusion of transgender including non-binary
young people?' No.
3. Please provide copies of Council policies relevant to questions 1 and
2. NIL
4. Please provide details of funding provided by the council for June 2024
Pride events. NIL
5. Please also provide details of funding provided for banners, flags &
any other items relating to Pride celebrations June 2024. NIL
I trust this meets the terms of your request. However, if you are
dissatisfied with the way in which the Council has dealt with your request
for information on this occasion, then you may ask the authority to review
its actions and decisions in relation to your request, by submitting a
formal appeal to the Executive Manager - Governance and Law. A leaflet
