Request for information under the Freedom of Information Act
Thank you for your email dated 13 February 2020, requesting information regarding the treatment
of inflammatory bowel disease.
Please find detailed below a summary of your request, together with our response.
Summary of your request:
In the last twelve months how many patients have been treated for Ulcerative colitis?
Of these patients how many were treated with Entyvio (vedolizumab)?
In the last twelve months how many patients have been treated for Crohn’s disease?
Of the patients how many were treated with Entyvio (vedolizumab)?
Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust does not treat patients for ulcerative colitis or
Crohn’s disease and therefore we do not hold the information you have requested. This care
would be provided by the acute trusts.
We provide wide-ranging NHS care for people in the community, in a range of settings including
people’s own homes; nursing homes; health clinics; community hospitals; minor injury units and
in mobile units.
We recommend you redirect your request to the trusts running the acute hospitals. In an effort to
advise and assist, I have attached as Appendix A the contact details for the acute Trusts in Kent.
If you are dissatisfied with the handling of your request, you have the right to ask for an internal
review. Internal review requests should be submitted within two months of the date of receipt of
the response to your original letter and should be addressed to:
