Under Freedom of Information, I would be grateful if you could provide the following information:
- How many empty, publicly owned buildings do you have in your local authority area?
- Of these, how many have been empty for between five and nine years? How many have been empty for 10 or more years?

Thank you for your enquiry regarding empty public buildings.
Unfortunately, your request has been deemed too vague in nature, i.e. what
is classed as empty? and which categories of buildings i.e. shops,
commercial units, office space, leisure premise, Libraries, changing
pavilions etc. (retail premises may just be a snap shot in time whilst
they are being marketed) to provide a meaningful response. Therefore we
would require a revised FOI which is more specific to the requirements.
