FOI employment/furlough new temporary/permanent staff during the CV lockdown.

Currently waiting for a response from Nottingham City Council, they should respond promptly and normally no later than (details).

Dear Nottingham City Council,

I am writing to request information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

In order to assist you with this request, I am outlining my query as specifically as possible.

The request is with regards specifically to your motor transport workshop as addressed below:

Nottingham
NG2 3AH

1. What was the official position of Nottingham City Council's and Nottingham City Council's Workshop with regards to employment of new temporary/permanent staff during the CV lockdown, beginning from the 23.03.2020.

2. Was there a blanket ban on employment of new temporary/permanent staff during this time.

3. If so, what was the timescale.

4. If not, did Nottingham City Council Workshop take on any new temporary/permanent agency or permanent employees during this time.

5. If applicable, how many permanent/temporary staff were taken on.

6. If applicable, were any of the permanent/temporary staff were taken on furloughed/dismissed and or contracts/assignments terminated due to the Corona Virus and or the CV lockdown.

I would be interested in any information held by your organisation regarding my request. I understand that I do not have to specify particular files or documents and that it is the department’s responsibility to provide the information I require.

However, If you need further clarification, please contact me via email and I will happily assist as required. In addition I would like to receive the information via email, and or in PDF format as you wish.

If my request is denied in whole or in part, may I ask that you justify all deletions by reference to specify exemptions of the act. I will also respectfully expect you to release all non-exempt material and reserve the right to appeal your decision to withhold any information or to charge excessive fees.

I would be grateful if you could confirm in writing that you have received this request and I look forward to your response within 20 working days, as outlined by the statute.
