FOI, Fareham Borough Council

Dear Mr Roberts,

I am writing to you in respect of your Freedom of Information request and
would like apologise that your request is still outstanding.

By way of an explanation, the department which provides the information
you have requested has been dealing with a high volume of work throughout
the covid-19 pandemic, working with customers who have been experiencing
financial challenges, as well as processing Grants available to businesses
and individuals. Regrettably, this additional work has resulted in a delay
to the Council providing you with a response to your Freedom of
Information request.

We are aiming to be in a position to respond to your request before 24
December and I thank you for your patience in this matter.

Yours sincerely,

Emily Roth

Dear Mr Roberts,

I am writing to provide you with an update regarding your Freedom of
Information request.

The Council is still facing an increased workload across its service areas
who are carrying out a wide variety of crucial services to the community
including working with individuals, businesses who are experiencing
financial loss and hardship and supporting our local community
organisations, who in turn, offer support to residents within the borough.
The department needed to collate the information for your request is
currently under an extremely heavy workload, with not only having to deal
with normal day to day business, but also the handling of Covid related
grants and in addition to that they also have their annual billing to
undertake.

Unfortunately this does mean that in some cases we are not able to meet
our deadlines for responding to requests for which I apologise and would
like to assure you that your request is not forgotten and we respond as
soon as we are able to.

Yours sincerely,
