FOI: Christmas Decorations
Dear Barking & Dagenham Borough Council,
I would like to make the following request under the Freedom of Information Act:
- The amount spent by the council on Christmas decorations in public spaces between 2007 and 2009.
- Any documentation produced by the council during that period in order to guide the purchasers of illuminated decorations relating to energy efficiency and sustainability.

Thank you for your email dated 2 November requesting information regarding
Christmas Decorations.
I have contacted the Service Manager for Street Management who has
provided me with the following information in response to your enquiry.
1. The amount spent by the council on Christmas decorations in public
spaces between 2007 and 2009.
(£45,000 per annum)
2. Any documentation produced by the council during that period in order
to guide the purchasers of illuminated decorations relating to energy
efficiency and sustainability.
(The Council does not have any produced documentation)
