FOI and fact check- Gypsies, Roma and Travellers
Dear University of Cambridge,
I am a BBC News journalist working on a story about the experience of Gypsies, Roma and Travellers (GRT) in Higher Education in the UK. The questions I want to fact check have a deadline of this Friday 27 midday. I have sent this to the all of the top 10 universities.
I would like to ask simply:
a) Do you measure how many students who identify as Gypsies, Roma or Travellers attend your university each year?
b) Do you recognise GRT as a group which needs specific outreach programmes?
The FOI, which has a normal deadline of 20 days:
c) Do you have the numbers of students who identify as GRT who attended your university in the last three academic years and their attainment?
Yours faithfully,
Poppy Damon
